克裏文翻譯3月31日聞名物理學家霍金（Stephen Hawking）下葬，在霍金的列傳片子《The Theory of Everything》裡飾演他的演員瑞德曼（Eddie Redmayne）在葬禮裡唸了基督教《舊約傳道書》（Book of Ecclesiastes）的一段文字， 華頓翻譯公司猜瑞德曼多是從霍金名著的書名《A Brief History of Time》得來的靈感，雖然二者都談到「time」不外意思不同，霍金不信神，可是他的信念和今日的世局卻讓人感受這段文字做悼文很洽當：

a time to plant翻譯社 and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
For everything there is a season翻譯社
a time to throw away stones翻譯社 and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose;

我也不是信徒，但是對這段文字有深刻印象，因為那也是一首美國流行老歌《Turn! Turn! Turn!》的歌詞，原作者是民歌手西格（Pete Seeger），另外一位民歌手柯琳絲（Judy Collins）翻唱並加上副題「To Everything There is a Season」，成為國際熱點歌曲的是《飛鳥樂團》（The Byrds）的1965年版．歌詞幾近完全抄自《舊約傳道書》，因為適切的反映60年月的世局，昔時廣受接待，使人傷感的是它依然合用於本日的世局，恰是「讀史早知本日事，看花猶是客歲人」（節自歷史學家陳寅恪《吳氏園海棠其二》）．
